Measurement-based Quantum Computation

  1. To each node i in V, we associate a qubit in the superposition state |+>.
  2. For all pairs (i,j) in E, there is a cPhase or CZ where either of i or j qubit could be the control qubit and the other could be the target qubit. Note that we are saying either qubit could be a control qubit, this is because we defined a cluster state to be of the type of an undirected graph, so it doesn’t matter which is control and which is target. In fact, in the implementation of different operators, we could consider CZ in either direction.
  1. cluster state preparation;
  2. cPhase or CZ between qubits in input states to some nodes of a cluster state;
  3. local measurements of some nodes of the resulting state.
